Limit Break Comics

An Irish Comic Collective

Home

Limit Break Comics is an Irish comic collective, founded on the back of a shared desire to see small press comics grow in Ireland. Since 2018, the collective has grown to 8 members, and has published multiple anthologies featuring creators from around the globe.

The LB Bulletin is Limit Break’s monthly newsletter, containing information on new releases, open calls, press appearances and conventions. Each month, the team also include an intro to comics tip, art drops, and a look at what we’re reading.

About Limit Break Comics

Limit Break was founded as a collective in 2018 by Paul Carroll, Gareth Luby and Gary Moloney. In 2022, Seamus Kavanagh officially joined the team, followed by James Killian, Mari Rolin, Alice Coleman and Colin O’Mahoney in 2024.

Limit Break won Best Publisher in the 2021 ICN Awards, and was nominated Best Publisher in the 2023 European Science Fiction Society Hall of Fame Awards.

Books by the group have appeared in the Irish Times (2021, 2022) and the Irish Examiner (2022).

When they aren’t making comics, the team take part in panels at conventions, and run workshops and courses.
