Wish Upon a Star Creators and Cover Reveal

Ahead of the launch of the Kickstarter campaign for Wish Upon a Star, we’re here with the full line-up of creators for the book, and a reveal of the cover art.

The Creators

We’re a week and a half out from the launch of the Kickstarter, and as of Monday February 19th we have our line-up of creators ready to share with the world. We’ll be revealing the team dynamics later in the process – keep an eye on our socials for their bios and creative partners. In the meantime, join us in welcoming the following creators:

Brendan Albetski, Christian Angeles, Akira B., Adam Bagley, David Baillie, Paul Carroll, Peter Clinton, Alice Coleman, Pablo Moreno Collar, Shay Commander, Dave Cook, Colin Craker, Matias De Vincenzo, Sachi Ediriweera, Chandra Free, Matt Garbutt, Alex Garrick-Wright, Oliver Gerlach, Reed Hinckley-Barnes, Megan Huang, Joonatan Itkonen, Seamus Kavanagh, James Killian, John Kissee, Gareth Luby, Andriy Lukin, Marin, Robby Melendez, Dan Membiela, Michiums, Gary Moloney, Alex Moore, Micah Myers, James Nadiger, Carlos Pedro, Mari Rolin, Narjes Ruyan, Andrea Schiavone, Diana Sousa, Noah Stephens, Dan Tappan, Johanna Taylor

Contrary to our initial announcement, we have 22 stories for this book. We made extra space for Seamus and Gareth, without cutting stories from the open call. 16 of the creators have been published in one of our anthologies before. That includes Paul, Gary, Gareth and Seamus. Out of the 18 stories accepted from the open call, 11 teams submitted more than one pitch.

The Cover for Wish Upon a Star

If you’ve been following our social media, we teased the cover of the book. With inks and concept by Nate Stockman, we’re looking at Mecha Snow White and the Seven Dwarf Stars.

Joining Nate on the cover is another Irish artist: colourist Dee Cunniffe! Take a look at the final(ish) cover!

We’re super excited to bring this book into the world. Next week, ahead of the launch of the campaign, we’ll showcase all of the complete rewards to join the book. So far, that includes pins, a tote bag, and one of three prints. The stickers will be finished up before then, too.

Until then, join us in congratulating the creators whose pitches were successful. We have a wide mix of approaches to the theme to share with you over the coming months, from battle mechs to AI, space travel and beyond. And a month to get it funded.
