In the tradition of Dublin Comic Cons gone by, Seamus Kavanagh is hosting a Limit Break Presents panel at this summer’s Dublin Comic Con. This time around, there’s a slight twist to the tale: Seamus will be hosting an interview with Declan Shalvey and Tríona Farrell about their last decade in comics.
On the 10th anniversary of Dublin Comic Con, it’s fitting to bring two pros at different stages of their careers to the forefront. The interview will take a broad look at Shalvey’s and Farrell’s careers since 2013. They have both found their feet in the international market, with work published by Marvel, Image, Boom!, IDW, Dynamite and a whole lot more, they shown the world how versatile and prolific Irish creators can be if given the chance.
We’ve been lucky as a collective/publisher to show off work from both creators in the past couple of years. Both have contributed to covers for our anthologies, with Declan creating the cover for Turning Roads and Tríona working with Stephen Mooney on the cover of Down Below . Tríona has also graced us with some interior colours in Turning Roads, Old Game Plus, and the soon-to-be-published Fractured Realms.
Where to find the interview at Dublin Comic Con
The interview will take place in the Geek Ireland Panel Room. This is outside the entrance to the Artist Alley, on the Liffey Level of the Convention Centre. We advise people interested in sitting in watching the interview to show up by 1.55pm. It will run until no later than 2.55pm, with any delays owing to programming earlier in the day.
Where can you find Limit Break at DCC this year?
Our presence at this convention is reduced. Seamus’s interview is the only time you’ll catch our banner flying. Otherwise, you can talk to Paul at the Octocon table, which is beside the Artist Alley. Our next table at the convention will see us bringing at least a couple of new books, including Fractured Realms and Mr & Mrs Van Helsing.
Until then, be sure to pop along to the panel if you’re attending DCC next weekend!
